Hi,

Tomorrow, after packing all the equipment, we’ll depart to the starting point of the Border Ski Finland 2023 route. On the way there we will pick up the last anti-icing agents from CustomSki in Lahti for the base of the skis. Sunday 8th of January would be the actual start of the ski tour.

Gathering the equipment for the trip has been a big job in itself. Albeit voluntary. After going through the current equipment, I found that more is required. The necessary equipment has been catalogued and I’ve been amazed by the amount of cargo that has accumulated and the costs it has incurred.

Fortunately, supporters and sponsors for Border Ski Finland 2023 have been found and the necessary equipment has been acquired. My supporters can be found on my website.

At this point I would already like to thank Jani Kantokoski for the great website and Heetu and team Australia for the translations. A warm thank you to my wife Heidi, for your understanding of all the preparations and testing for the trip. As well as for the woollen socks and mittens you knitted.

I will thank the members of the support team later if the supplies to the border arrive.

I guess all that is left is, lets go for it!
